JFK to Manhattan - Cab or Shuttle best way
Arriving at JFK around 3pm, which is the best way to get to Manhattan, what can I expect to pay a cab vs a shuttle bus?

Thankyou.

I have taken car services and shuttle buses.
I took Tel-Aviv (212-777-7777) from JFK to Manhattan for about $30 plus tip for1-4 passengers in a car ( not per passenger) They were very nice and professional. My advise is to call in advance for reservations and info.
I took the Gray Line (212-315-3006) 4 years ago from JFK to the Hilton in Mahattan for about $15 per person. We tipped also. It was a van that seated about 8. We had fun seeing the hotels that others were staying in. In fact we saw a couple of the same people on our return trip back to JFK. If I remember right they have booths by the bagage claim at JFK. Can anybody confirm that????
I hope this helps...
Kitty
BTW, I could not find any toll free numbers for any car or shuttle service in NYC. Sorry
Kitty
Tel Aviv car service: 800-222-9888.
I've used them both times I visited the city with no problems. Very punctual, the driver helped me with my bags; and they take cash! When you call to reserve, have all info ready: address, time, flight info. They'll give you a reservation number.
