JFK or Newark??
I can fly into JFK or Newark at the same price. I would like to take public transportation into Manhattan. I am staying in midtown East. Would it be easier/faster to fly into Newark or JFK? Many thanks.

If it's the same price to fly into JFK then use JFK. It is a longer and more hassle to get to Manhattan from Newark.

Personally, I think it is easier into Manhattan from JFK.

The airport train at EWR connects to NJ Transit train into Penn Station on the west side. Very easy. But, since you're staying on the east side, JFK is probably better.

JFK has both Airtrain to subway options and airporter bus options (which goes to Grand Central on the east side).
So I think it may not be much different based on exactly where you are staying and what time and day you are arriving. |
Many, many thanks!

If you are staying on the east side, and you fly into JFK and take the "E" train you can get off at either of the first two stops in Manhattan Lex Avenue and 53rd Street and Fifth Ave and 53rd.
