JFK Hotel for 1/25 - convenient and safe - TODAY

19 year old dtr is on flight landing at JFK this afternoon (1/25) and then hoping to fly JFK-Raleigh Durham this evening - but many earlier flights on that route have been cancelled today.

Need suggestions for hotel very near JFK that would be safe and convenient for 19 year old female (possibly with female friend) for this evening if her flight is cancelled as well.

The Marriott Courtyard at JFK was surprisingly nice, with good shuttle service.

I've stayed the Fairfield Inn JFK. Free shuttle from JFK (roughly every 30 minutes). Newer hotel, very helpful staff.

I've also heard good things about the Marriott Courtyard Neo refers to.

Thanks - Fairfield is $130/Courtyard is $270. Hopefully she will not need either - her flight is still listed as on time (unlikely since nothing else is at JFK today) but all but 1 flight on that route has been cancelled today.

gail, if she does end up at a hotel, be sure you or she calls and explains the circumstances, because a lot of hotels won't let a person under 21 stay.

Thanks for the reminder - good point. I knew that but since she has been in Greece for a month as part of a college course and is in college 1000 miles away from Boston home, I forget she is only 19.
