It depends on if this is a legal connection or not - and unless you do this as one ticket you won't know. trip insurance will not cover missing a flight if it isn't a legal connectinon and it's your own fault - not leaving enough time - that you miss the ongoing flight. Otherise people coul do this with flight 30 minutes apart - and use it to get free hotel and more expensive flight.
