Jetblue Flight from JFK to LA - landing gear problems

Astounded to see live on the news networks that a Jetblue airbus has been flying around to burn fuel before making an emergency landing in LAX. Apparently the landing gear is "twisted" for lack of a better word.

Good luck and God bless.

Seetheworld:

Yes, I am watching this unfold.

Add my prayers for a safe landing.

Oh God, I look at this then looked over at the tv and there was the jet, flying around the airport!
They said the airforce base has offered a longer runway for them..

In Jax Fl, according to my daughter, a jet from the aircraft carriers, came in for a landing at the NAS and because of the stormy weather, ended up making a perfect landing on the Blvd that runs along the base.
No one hurt, those pilots are something else!

I will hope for a good outcome to this story too!

I have to change my story. Seems the jet crashed in Jax and crew members were killed.

They can foam the runways for this Jetblue flight, right?

I think so (big sigh).

The flight was from LA to JFK, not the other way around.

How in the world will this plane land with it's wheels twisted???

I'm in the LA Area and they are still deciding where it will land (probably LAX) and they say they don't foam runways anymore.

Really? They do have 110 firefighters ready to go.
