Hey Niall where do you live? I am going to rent a jet ski and buzz your house all day and night and see how you like all the noise and the gas dumping in your backyard.

Niall instead of jet skiing why don't you rent a kayak or sail? Here is a link for you:

Niall-You asked for opinions here and that is exactly what you got. If you didn't want advice why the hell did you post here? And to keep posting retorts shows how little maturity and what an obnoxious asshole you really are.

I don't know squat about Jet Ski emmissions but I wish they would ban them everywhere. The are a pain in the butt! I'd be rich if I had a dollar for everyone I had to dodge to keep from running over.

I'm with you xxx. There have been hundreds of jet ski accidents with boats and a few fatalities. Someone rammed into Gloria Estefan's boat here in Miami and bit the big one. The idiots try to jump boat wake and don't get out of your way. Most of them don't know how to manuver the things and think they are hot dogs....

Hey GPM, don't "rest your case" too soon. If you read the well researched article by the Surfriders (see link above) which is very anti-jet ski, nowhere do they mention the hydrocarbon pollution from waverunners comes from fuel spills when they are tipped over. It rightly blames 2-stroke engines and the large amount of unburned fuel that comes out the exhaust of such engines. The exact same technology, as I said above, that is found in the vast majority of outboard engines (read, most boats in the Keys). Waverunners and jetskis might be noisy and their owners may be incompetent mariners, but they don't put out much more pollution than most other vessels plying Keys waters. Now you may close the case, gpm.

Jet skis are BANNED in most of our national parks including the water sancturary at Key Biscayne Bay because they pollute the water and the air, harrass wildlife and are noisy.

Jet skis are so polluting that the exhaust emissions from two hours of PWC operation is equivalent to the emissions from a 1998 passenger car operated for more than 100,000 miles according to the EPA.

There are alternatives to jet skis down in the Keys, kayaks, sailboats etc. which IMO would be a better way and more relaxing way to see the beauty of nature there than on a buzz saw sounding jet ski.

And xxx we do have lives and trying to preserve nature for future generations is not only the moral thing to do it is the right thing to do. We have been put on this planet to be caretakers not wreckers...
