does one have more leg room? better service? we wld be in economy in virgin; jet blue has only one class. on jet blue we cld leave from burbank. |
My vote is for Jet Blue because of their great customer satisfaction rankings.

I've never flown Virgin America, but I would vote for JetBlue just so I could avoid LAX. :) I'm a frequent JetBlue flyer from Long Beach, and I find their flights more comfortable than most major airlines, but you might want to check actual measurements on www.seatguru.com.

Except for the very few times I've been in business class, JetBlue's extra two or three inches of extra kneeroom is one of the main reasons that I have flown them almost exclusively since my first trip with them about 5 years ago.

I was faced with this decision for a trip to LA from NYC and we opted for jetblue- but what we did was pay an extra $40 per person to get the Jetblue extra room seats. I really wanted to try virgin, but the extra legroom on jetblue for a nominal fee for that long a flight made the decision for us.

I've been flying VA since they began flying from JFK to SFO/LAX.
From my experience I find it much better than Jetblue. It was named top domestic airline last year. The only negative is that it's business class(Main Cabin Select) where you get the extra legroom cost a bit more than JetBlue. |
