Jersey Shore recommendations
Will be driving through Jersey and staying a couple of nights mid-week. Have enjoyed numerous family vacations in Ocean Grove, did the teenage Seaside Heights and college Belmar years. Now I'd like to try something different. Any suggestions betweek Asbury Park and Atlantic City?

Sea Girt and Spring Lake are both wonderful towns. If you're willing to go a bit south of AC, Stone Harbor and Avalon are both great. I would also look at the towns on Long Beach Island.

Think I'll see what accomodations I can turn up in Sea Girt or Spring Lake. Haven't been on Long Beach Island for many years, but thought there weren't a lot of short term rentals there? Thanks.

There are limited motel options in Sea Girt and Spring Lake. There are several motels, all are fine.
You don't say how many people you need the room for but if for only you and a significant other, there are several B&B's in Bay Head. The Grenville is nice and Bay Head is a fairly low key town. |
I agree on the Grenville recco, here is info on it and some others as well:

I recommend the Hewitt Wellington in Spring Lake

Also Consider The Normandy Inn B&B in Spring Lake... Just a block from the beach in a great old Victorian...
