Jazz Brunch
Is there a good Jazz Brunch in New Orleans that won't break the bank. I don't want to spend $100+ for two, but I want to experience the fun. Any ideas?
Mr. Bs will fit your needs.
I had the jazz brunch at Court of 2 Sisters this past Saturday. Very nice atmosphere, food was great and I believe it was only $23 per person.
I recommend the Court of Two Sisters. I thought this restaurant epitomized my idea of New Orleans. I don't recall that it was too expensive (under $25 or maybe even under $20). They had jazz bands both inside and out on the patio. The food was delicious and plentiful with some local favorites, like crawfish. I loved it! Enjoy...

Thanks for your help. I just made reservations at Court of 2 sisters. What a great website they have. It definately sealed the deal.
The Court has very bad food. I can't imagine why people are recommending it for the food.
I agree with Sammy. The atmosphere there is lovely, but the food is quite mediocre at best. We went to Antoine's for their jazz brunch and really enjoyed the food.
Locals avoid the place because it's known as a tourist trap. I thought the food was fine but not great. Courtyard is extremely pleasant.
What about Cafe Sbisa?
I agree with Sammy! While the Court of Two Sisters has great atmosphere, the food - at least by New Orleans' standards - is awful. It's a well-known tourist trap that serves busloads of people who don't realize they can get better food almost any other place. Mr. B's is so far superior to the Court of Two Sisters it's not even in the same category.

Mr. B's is fabulous!!!!!!!!
We enjoyed Commander's Palace Jazz Brunch last week and our bill was less than $100. The bread pudding souffle was wonderful.
Mr Bs is excellent and reasonable
We just enjoyed jazz brunch at Mr. B's and it was really good and reasonable. The service was great and the eggs benedict yummy! Oh, the jazz was good too.
I have only eaten here for dinner, but doesn't the Praline Connection have a jazz brunch (or maybe it's gospel)? They have mouth-watering food.
Where is Mr B's is that Brennans? We are travelling from England in April and have booked the Jaz brunch on Sunday.
I have just poted this as a new message instead of a reply by mistake!Sorry!!!
Are most of these "jazz brunches" buffet style, a la "champagne brunch"? i.e., a fixed price for a buffet... or individual menu items?

I have been looking at these as well, but it's hard to tell which are fixed-price. Is Mr. B's a buffet style brunch?

Have read lots of bad things about Court of Two Sisters... mediocre food, tourist trap, no free refills on drinks, etc.
No, Mr. B's is not buffet style. In fact, I don't know if this is the norm, but we had three waiters servicing our table and never did the water glass fall below half empty. The service was outstanding and the food was really good too. Not at all pricey. The "jazz" part of the jazz brunch is a three-piece strolling through the restaurant.
I loved the brunch at Brennan's. I would recommend the Court of Two Sisters. The atmosphere is nice and the courtyard is beautiful but the service and food sucks!
You'd recommend a place where the service AND food suck?? Must be easy to please! do you mean that you WOULD NOT recommend the Two Sisters?
