Jazz at Lincoln Center

Has anyone been to see Wynton Marsalis at the Rose Theater? I am trying to get tickets to him for this summer.
Thank you

I have seen him perform both jazz and classical but not at the Rose. He is the Artistic Director of Jazz at Lincoln Center of which the Rose belongs.

If you can secure tickets, by all means see him.

Thanks Aduchamp!
Does he play at more than one venue at Lincoln Center?

I would have to check if he still plays at the main hall.

He is a great sense of jazz musical history and I am told is an excellent technican. At the begining of his career I preferred his classical touches but have grown to apprecaite his jazz more and more.

I have seen Wynton and his brother play on many occasions on PBS 13. He is such a gifted artist and his father who has taught them is even more impressive. Thanks for you feedback Aduchamp.

Any time. Like the ballet thread is beneficial to discuss other forms of entertainment.

Both the Rose theater and the Kaplan Penthouse at LC are great venues for night views. The almost 360 degree backdrops are breathtaking. Of course, usually, the music's not bad too. The KP could use a stronger AC in the summer though. :-)
