January travel on a budget

My husband & I would like to take a trip in January, but our finances are limited. In addition, he uses a wheelchair so wherever we go needs to be accessible. We live in the Southeast. Any tips? He loves to gamble, I love the sun. Thanks!

Biloxi, Mississippi?

I've never been there but hear that they are extremely welcoming to disabled guests.

Welcome to Fodor's acp751--- hmm... I'll top this to the afternoon crowd. Perhaps they'll have a suggestion for somewhere warm in Florida with gambling close by.

I've driven through Biloxi but it was before the flood so I'm not sure how much has changed; I imagine much has been rebuilt. Perhaps someone can weigh in.

I go to Biloxi all the time. The casinos are back in business and they are very welcoming to disabled visitors. While he's in the casino, you can sip cocktails by the pool or the beach, or visit the spa.

The Isle of Capri offers great hotel deals, and more upscale choices are the Beau Rivage, the Grand, and the brand-new Hard Rock.

Thanks for the great tip, my Fodor friends! We were completely unaware of Biloxi as a possible vacation destination and we're looking into it.
