JACKSON HOLE: ANY RECOMMENDATIONS ON A PLACE TO STAY?
Our family is planning a trip in late May/early June to the Jackson Hole area and would like to find a nice condo ( are there any "new" ones?) in Teton Valley. We will need 3 bedrooms. Is anyone familiar with Eagles Rest, Rendezvous, Spring Creek Ranch or any of the other condos in that general area? Also, if there are places you have stayed that we should NOT consider, I would appreciate knowing that too.

Sandy,

Jackson Hole is one of my favorite places. The last time we went (June, 1998) we decided to stay in a bed and breakfast in Driggs, Idaho, which is about 30 miles west of Jackson Hole. It worked out ok since we spent time at Yellowstone and the Tetons. The route from Driggs to Yellowstone is pretty. We noticed that some of the hotels in downtown Jackson were medicore at best. If you stay in Jackson, you will pay more for less. Be sure to eat at the Gun and Barrell and Bubbas. Bubbas is very reasonable and they give you more food than you can possibly eat. Breakfast is wonderful. If you have a particular condo in mind, I would be glad to tell you what it looks like if I can remember. We have become quite familiar with the are. It is a wonder place. Snow will still be several feet deep in the higher elevations of Yellowstone in late May and early June, but some parts of Yellowstone do not open until Memorial Day.
Mary Ann: Thanks for the restaurant recommendations. We will certainly go there. Our trip date is tentative for may 27-june 3. We want a 3 br condo that is located in Teton Vally. One that is either new or has been redone by the owners. If you know of anyone that has stayed at one they loved please let me know. Soneone mentioned Eagles Rest. Do you know anything about that one? Or Rendevous? We are 5 adults, a 3 year old and an infant. Thoughta condo would provide togetherness, but give everyone their own space. Thanks for being helpful.

If you are looking for a condo in jackson, Spring Creek is your best bet. I have lived in jackson and never heard of Eagle's Rest or Rendezvous, although I believe they are complexes out at the ski village (10 miles from town). Spring Creek is closer to town, although still about a five minute drive, but it is at the top of a hill and has breathtaking views. You may also want to check out Teton Pines or The Racquet Club. If Eagle's Rest is out at the ski village, DONT stay there - they were built in the 70s and aren't so nice.

Why don't you stay in a National Park? You can't bet the scenery. I recommend Signal Mt Lodge in the Grand Teton NP.
Nice cabins with fireplaces right on the water.
