Jackson Hole

I'm looking for recommendations for accomodations in Jackson Hole this summer. It can be a hotel, condo, or house rental that is comfortable and maybe even on the upscale side...not too rustic. Thank you.

Several years ago during the Christmas season we stayed at The Red Lion Inn in Jackson Hole. It was very nice. Also we enjoyed a sleigh ride through the Elk Reserve. I understand that this group does a covered wagon trip during the summer. The Red Lion Inn did not serve meals, other than breakfast. We found it to be a quiet nice little place to stay.

jane,
We've stayed in condo's at the ski resort, Jackson Lake Lodge and Colter Bay Village.

Of the three, we liked Colter bay the best, but it is the most rustic. Jenny lake lodge, from what I understand, is at the other end of the spectrum.
Suggest you do a text search "jackson hole" in this forum. This topic has been covered extensively.
Have a great trip!

The recommendations that gc gave are in Grand Teton National Park, not in Jackson Hole which is a short distance away. We stayed at the Best Western Lodge, about 1 mile from town square and found it to be a nice hotel. The rooms are clean, nicely decorated and there is a nice indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub. There are a few Best Westerns in Jackson Hole, this one I believe is known as the Lodge.

Kathy,
Thanks for the correction...which raises the question: Jane, do you want to stay in Jackson, at the ski area, or in the Parks?

FYI - the condos and townhomes in Teton Village at the ski resort get booked way in advance by the musicians in residence for the Grand Teton Music Festival. If you are looking to stay there book now. If you are not looking to stay there, definitely make it a point to attend one of the concerts held June - August.

I've stayed at a few places in Jackson and in the parks, but I keep going back to the Spring Creek Resort in Jackson. They have great views, a good restaurant, and it's quiet. They're two story log cabins, set around a small pond. The place sits on top of a hill overlooking the Gros Ventre.
The only knock (I haven't been there in over a year, so maybe this has been fixed) is that they may need a little "sprucing up." They were getting a little run down the last time I was there. But it's still a nice place to stay.
Have fun.

I stayed at the Best Western Lodge in September and found it well maintained with spacious rooms. It is a short 1 mile drive to the "downtown" area and represents a good value for your money.
