Jackonsville Beaches Girls Spring Break

Hi. Will be in Jacksonville for Spring Break, staying at a condo in Ponte Vedra Beach with a car. Both girls are 20, but would like to go to some fun places to maybe listen to some live music with dinner and go out at night. Any ideas for places to check out? Shopping/boutiques (avoiding the St. John's Town Center)? Thanks in advance!

Ponte Vedra is very nice, Jax Beach will have places that you can hear live music, I just don't remember the names anymore..
When I lived in Jax, San Marco was my favorite neighborhood for good restaurants and a few boutiques. Also very good is the St Johns neighborhood, along the River, historic homes, the Cummer Museum and some really good boutique shopping and some nice restaurants..
Along the River Front where the downtown area is , is the Landings.. nice for a bite to eat and shopping.
St Johns also has live music in some of their restaurants at night.

We are also thinking about venturing to St. Augustine for the day. We have been to Saltwater Cowboys before, but any ideas for other restaurants, things to do/see for 20 year old girls?

There are often a couple of venues on Amelia Island that also have live music. Perhaps mostly on the weekends at that time of year though.

mschau,
There are a lot of good St. Augustine restaurant recommendations on this forum! Just type "St. Augustine" in the "Search the Forums" box. I don't mean to be evasive, but there really is a lot of good information out there. Also, have you reviewed the Fodors recommendations? You can see them here:http://tinyurl.com/bqayx4
