Rant: LA. Just back from 4 days there, and apologies to those of you who live there and love it, but I can't stand it. Lots of things to do, but as a city, it has no soul.

Rave: my own kitties and my own bed!

Thoughtless cell phoners--at an Audra MacDonald concert in Symphony Hall, Boston. She stopped singing and asked if it was for her never losing her cool. Ringing in church-at least the woman shut it off. The worst one--at a wake-- woman answered and blithely carried on a loud (aren't they always??)conversation in spite of glares. I call these creeps CPA'S uh--think about it!!

I guess the Repub analogy to Ahnold's comment (who made this thread political) is Dick Cheney endorsing Bush so Cheney could get his energy plan passed. Funny thing, while everyone else's 401k's tanked, Ken Lay walks free. And Cheney's Halliburton stock options seem to be doing magnificently, thanks to the U.S. taxpayer. Good thing people at the Pentagon are looking at the books!

jor, the concert was wonderful! My favorite song he did was "A Quitter Never Wins". It was one of the best live song performances I have ever seen. I saw Lang at the MN state fair a few years ago, but this was a much smaller venue so I enjoyed it more. He is getting away from the blues on his new CD, I hope he doesn't stray too far! I saw BB King last summer at an outdoor Blues festival along with the Fabulous Thunderbirds and Kenny Wayne Sheperd . WOW!

Note to memjw and earl30 - No worries, I agree that some people speed up when you pass them, I guess they think it's a personal insult or something.
Buckeye mom -- you win for the flu infected people that still go out and infect everyone else.

I forgot to end positively by posting a rave, so I am grateful for heating and AC, amazon.com, jokes and funny situations that bring people together, spicy food and big dogs.
