Itinerary suggestions for 5 days in Miami
 

Hi

We are a family of 4 with 16 and 17 years old kids visiting Miami for 5 days.

Our interests include theme park rides, national parks, beach and photography.

We have a car for long drives.

Can someone please suggest things to do for us in and around Miami ?

Key Biscayne has great beaches and is sandwiched between two major parks – Crandon Park to the north and Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park to the south. The latter has palm trees, white sand and clear water (good for snorkeling). You can bicycle between Crandon Park and the state park, partly on bike paths.A peaceful and enjoyable place.

Everglades National Park is about an hour southwest of Miami. The National Park Service says this,“Named because its water flows southwest toward Shark River, Shark Valley is the heartland of the Everglades. At Shark Valley you can walk, bike, or ride a tram along a 15-mile loop road and see some of the park’s best wildlife concentrations. The Shark Valley observation tower offers a 360 degree view of the Everglades. The viewing deck overlooks a life-filled water hole, providing a bird’s eye view of alligators, turtles, fish, and birds. Tram tours and bicycle rentals are available through Shark Valley Tram Tours”.
