Itinerary help
Hi = we are flying into Orlando on March 3/ 2023 about noon on our way back from a relaxing Colombian vacation. We have a car rented so should be on the road about 1:00 or so and want to see Cape Canaveral (Nasa) and what there is to see regarding the space program in the afternoon. Rushed i know but time is crunched - then would travel and spend the night around Stuart, Fl. The 4th wanted to drive to Miami have a look around for the day - spend the night and then on the 5 the do something evergladish tours wise. We would then travel back to Orlando on the 6th for a flight back to Canada on the 7th. A little rushed but nothing is written in stone so if anyone has done this or would recommend a better time expenditure we're all ears. We are an active 50.60's couple travelling without kids and not particularly interested in the theme parks. Just want to get a little taste of Florida! Thanks

Could you change one of your flights? It would make more sense and save you drive time if you could fly into Orlando or Miami and fly home from the other.

Yes i agree - in hindsight but unfortunately we pre-booked that leg of the trip and just decided to add a few days at the end of our trip and decided Orlando - other than the theme parks etc wouldn't be a good use of our time so trying to do a loop and see a littler of the state.

Check out both Blowing Rocks Preserve and Corkscrew Swamp

Great locations - how far is Corkscrew from Miami and Everglade National park - we are thinking of doing a reverse = Orlando - Miami - Everglades and back up the coast to do KSC on way back then to Orlando on the 6th for our flight home on 7th.

We visited the Shark Valley Entrance to Everglades National Park and really enjoyed our time there. There are tram tours that take you on a 15 mile loop trail into the everglades to see wildlife. Naturalist on board for information. We were adventurous and rode the 15 mile loop on bicycles so didn't get to hear the narration. Loved being up close and personal with the wildlife, birds and alligators. Advance booking for the tours is recommended..
