My husband went to Cornell and he always talks about a restaurant called Thai Cuisine. The address is:
501 S. Meadow St. (Rt. 13) Ithaca, NY 14850 (607) 273-2031 |
The Heights Cafe is still there and still great.
The Boatyard grill is good, though not necessarily worth the 1-2 hour wait (no reservations). Good Thai: A Taste of Thai Good BBQ (and other things): Bistro Q Good Ice cream: Purity Haven't been, but highly recommended (upper scale): Pangea, Willow, John Thomas Steakhouse, Madeline's. |
Mmmm...love Thai Cuisine. Every once in a while I see their salamander t-shirts and get nostalgic. Great curries, solid service, and Dim Sum brinches on the weekends. I'll second the Heights, too, but it's been four years since I've been. Also worthwhile: Moosewood (the original veggie restaurant of cookbook fame), and if you can get a loaf of chocolate cherry bread from any of the Ithaca Bakery locations you'll be in heaven. And if you need lunch, there's a Mega-Weg (Wegman's) on Route 13, across from Thai cuisine. God I miss that grocery store!
