Wow, good for you!!! How many true Italians are of the all inclusive variety...... of american/italian, southern and northern all mixed up into one person searching for food. Cheers to all those all inclusive italians out there! The northend is wonderful and blows little italy in nyc away as far as food goes. walk the streets and go for your all inclusive gut instinct!

If you're seeking Italian food, then a walk down Hanover St. (main drag in Boston's Northend) will offer up many restaurant options. I was up in the area recently and altho we didn't eat dinner there, we did stroll over to the area for dessert. Enjoyed gelato & pastries at "Vittoria's Cafe" on Hanover St., which is 2 storefronts away from another well-known spot, "Mike's Pastries" .... of course, after we finished up at Vittoria's, we bought take-away from Mike's. Mmmmmmmm, tasty cannolli's !
Now that construction in Boston is finished and they've taken down the old highway, it's sooooo much nicer to stroll over to the North End. I can't believe how much different it looks now that the old ugly green elevated highway is gone!
