Italian Restaurant in NYC
 

I am looking for the name of an italian restaurant in NYC, I think it's on the upper west side. Small intimate, only 12 tables, I think it's located in a brownstone and only takes cash. I had researched the info once b/c I would like to make reservations but lost it all. Could someone help??

Maybe you're thinking of Rao's on 119th Street and Pleasant Avenue...next to impossible to secure a table unless you know "someone" or at least it was.

Hmmm...my first thought would be Rao's, but that's not upper west. Try looking at Zagats.com or newyork.citysearch.com and see if you can find it that way (if no one here can come up with the answer).

You might be referring to a place named Gennaro. It is at 665 Amsterdam Avenue between 92nd and 93rd. They did have, at one time, around 12 tables but they expanded less than a year ago and is now twice the size. They are not in a brownstone but, rather, an apartment building.
