It's snowing in Houston!

Even though it hasn't happened in 15 years, it's actually snowing in Houston! And on Christmas Eve, no less!

There's no measurable accumulation, but it's actually sticking to the grass, parked cars, the roofs of houses, etc. It's especially fun for the many Houstonians who have actually never seen snow before.

It will be gone soon, though. The temps next week are supposed to be in the upper 60's!

Merry Christmas everyone.

It's not fair!! We are freezing our butts off here in Austin, but do we get snow?? NOOO!!!! All day long I've been wishing for a white Christmas, even if it's just a little dusting. You lucky dogs....Enjoy your snow.

Merry Christmas to you too.

Susan, my sister has called me internationally three times tonight to tell me about it! Every time she calls, it's a new update. First was flakes accumulating on their vehicles and now it's starting to accumulate in the yard. She is so excited! I have to admit that even my mother doesn't remember it EVER snowing in Houston on Christmas Eve. What a wonder!

I wish I were there to see it myself.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Yes, apparently it never has snowed in Houston on Christmas or Christmas eve since they began tracking it.

Although it was only a light dusting, it was enough for my son to make a miniature snowman -- about 8 inches tall!

The minister at the Unitarian Christmas Eve service said the following:

"How can you not believe in miracles. It's snowing in Houston on Christmas Eve."

Happy holidays y'all.
