Island Queen vs Jungle Queen (S Florida)?

Seems kind of similar...what is the difference? Is one better than the other?

Island Queen (401 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, FL 33132)

Jungle Queen Riverboat Cruise (801 Seabreeze Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316)

Thanks :)

The big difference is one is out of Ft. Lauderdale and the other one out of Miami and the ugh Bayside Marketplace.

Please, please, please don't go to Bayside!

Miami is such a wonderfully vibrant exotic town and BSM is the worst of chain stores and chain restaurants that caters almost exclusively to the cruise ship crowd.

Instead, check and see if the Historical Museum has any of their boat tours scheduled with Dr. George who is a noted South Florida historian.

Yes, I posted the addresses. I realized they are out of different cities. I'm not really interestd in the BSM either, but we are spending Saturday night in Coral Gables....so it would be nearby.

Are the cruises similar?

I take it the one in Ft Lauderdale is best then?

Thanks :)

Personally, I haven't done either but I've spent a lot of time on both waterways and the Island Queen has a little more to offer.

Dr.George has an amazing tour of Stiltsville which is an old community that is actually built on the water on the flats on Biscayne Bay. The houses are built on the water on stilts, hence the name.

There are only seven houses remaining and they are no longer privately owned.
