Island-Hopping Itinerary

Aside from Maui (where we'll be spending a week separately), any ideas as to divide up the 8 additional days that we (my wife, our daughters [19 & 15], and I) will be spending on the other islands? Thanks!

Oahu has more to see & do than any other island:

It depends on your interests. I wouldn't do less than 4 days on an island.

Anything specific you want to see or do? For instance if you want a live volcano thten you need to go to Big Island. Perhaps your daughters would enjoy all the shopping and activities at Waikiki, so you need to go to Oahu. If I were planning I would add just 1 island for the entire 8 days because I feel I get more out of it that way. Just depends what you're after.

I agree with suze...do just one more island. We loved Big Island but your daughters may prefer Oahu. Either way, you can't go wrong.

Thank you, to all who've replied.

While our daughters enjoy shopping and some sightseeing, they remember our unique adventures (e.g., the pink jeep tour in Arizona), from previous vacations, even to this day.

What are the must-see "unique sights" that we should not miss, assuming that we have the time to go to Ohau, Kauai and the Big Island ?

Thanks,
Allan

I think going to Volcano National Park and hiking over lava at the end of the Chain of Craters road is amazying. We also took a helicopter tour of BI and it was incredible!

The north shore of Oahu was nice, we loved going to Turtle Beach and seeing the sea turtles basking on the beach.

I have a photo album on here of our trip to Maui, BI and Oahu. You can see pictures of VNP and the turtles and lots more. Also trip reports...click on my name and scroll down until you see them.

Hope this helps...
