Is there Verizon in Arizona?
 

Hi, I am thinking of transferring my job to Arizona. Does anyone know what phone service is used in Arizona?

We have tons of phone service. For regular phones the biggest are Qwest and Cox. For cellular service we have just about everything.

kkj, we just returned from a week in the Scottsdale area and I must have spent about 3 hours on the phone with the tech support division of Cingular wireless because I wasn't getting any calls, callers were being dumped directly into my voice mail, my phone wasn't showing any missed calls or messages (I actually had to keep calling my own voice mail to see if I had any messages) and my phone showed that I was roaming (although I have a nationwide plan). When I got home and spoke to yet another Cingular rep, she told me the Phoenix area is typically a bad area for cell service...so from my point of view, Cingular wasn't the best bet out there.

I'm from San Diego but when over there my Verizon phone works fine - to find out for sure - why don't you just talk to customer service. It's #611 send on your cell and is airtime free.
