Is there anythinng to do in Ohio?
We will be traveling through Ohio for a weekend this summer - anything I shouldn't miss? Please help.
If it's a family-thing you're looking for the Columbus Zoo is one of the best in the country.
Cedar Point between Cleveland and Toledo is fun with a family. Otherwise I am reminded of the John Denver song...something about Toledo and I spent a week there last night.

Cedar Point Amusement Park is a must. It is located in Sandusky, Ohio. If you are into wineries, you can also check-out the Firelands Winery in Sandusky. If you are young (20-something)and like to party, you might enjoy Put-n-Bay Island (a ferry ride off Port Clinton, Ohio).
Nobody mentioned the Air Force Museum in Dayton.............
The 20 something partiers at Put-In-Bay are there on Friday and Sat nights, plenty of older parties as well. Go midweek, less crowds, rent a golf cart or bike and tour the Island. Eat lobster bisque at the Boardwalk. See Perry's Monument and have a glass of wine at Heineman's.

Sharon...I believe it goes "Saturday night in Toledo Ohio is like being nowhere at all..."they sit and watch the sidewalks curl among other things! LOL
It stinks worse than Iowa (IMHO)
The Lucas County Fair in Maumee, Ohio!
ttt
What could there possibly be to do there??
As someone who made the unwise choice to go to college in Ohio, all I have to say is, don't stop, keep driving!
I married myself an Ohio woman, gradually made her a daughter of Dixie, yet we are forced to visit Ohio on occasion. There's not much to do there. Men seem to be preoccupied with cars, washing and waxing their cars, the high school football team, the Browns, the Buckeyes and the loss of factories. However, Amish country south of Akron is worth visiting. Lots of craft types of places. Restaurants in Amish country offer plain but hearty food that won't put a hole in your wallet. You'll see plenty of Amish in their buggies- don't drive too fast.

It really makes me mad when people bash a place! There are plenty of things to do in Ohio. You just have to open your eyes. Cleveland has a great art museum, science center, Rock Hall of Fame, great zoo, the Flats, warehouse district, one of the best ball parks in the country, great metroparks. Toledo has a nice art museum, science museum, zoo. Columbus has more restaurants per captia for a city its size than any other and is a test market for new concepts. Columbus has a nice zoo, COSI, Easton Town Center, Historical Museum, Art Museum, theater, German Village and the Short North with trendy galleries and good restaurants. The Lake Erie Islands are wonderful, laid back and are charming. Southern Ohio has Old Mans Cave, the Hocking Hills, plenty of places to camp and hike. Ohio has a great state park system, great state fair and yes, there is Amish country. There are tons of county fairs and festivals in Ohio. Lots to do....

Obviously you don't collect Longaberger Baskets. They are made in Ohio just off the interstate. You can get a tour of both plants and watch the baskets being made by hand and the wood being dyed by hand. I'm drawing a blank on the town.
May as well avoid Cincinnati...

http://www.citybeat.com/2002-06-20/news.shtml

Longaberger Baskets are made in Dresden. Cute town and their corporate offices are shaped like a basket.
I cast another vote for the US Air Force Museum in Dayton. A great collection of aircraft, inside and out. And there's a pleasant memorial garden well-worth a stroll.
