Is there a hotel right at JFK?

I've searched, but what I'm finding is people looking for free parking, shuttle to airport. DH needs a hotel right AT the airprt, if there is such a thing.

If there's not one attached to any terminal, what would the the closest?

Thanks!

Cyn

There are quite a few right near the airport that have JFK in the name (and provide free shuttle service) but none right AT the airport.

There is NO hotel attached to any of the terminals. All hotels are offsite.

Here are several:
Hampton Inn & Courtyard are right near each other

Another cluster has Holiday Inn Express, Best Western, Days Inn, & Comfort Inn.

All have shuttles. You'll need to check on parking fees directly with each hotel.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Courtyard, after reading what "dumps" all the JFK hotels are. To avoid the parking fees we returned our car the day before and took the free shuttle from the car return to the hotel, then another free shuttle to our terminal the next morning.

What about the Ramada - the JFK site says it's "at the airport" - building 144?

Parking is not a worry - he's just connecting through JFK.

Thanks-

The term "at the airport" is used quite liberally in this case.

Ramada, and all the other hotels I listed are 'at' the airport - essentially adjacent to the airport property, but they are still offsite and a couple of miles from the terminals. JFK is a huge expanse.

As Patrick has stated, there is a shuttle from the Rental Car area. He will need to take the Airtrain (either the Jamaica or Howard Beech trains is fine) to Station C, Federal Circle. That is the rental car location.

JFK does not allow vehicles such as hotel vans to circulate to all terminals directly - results in too much conjestion.

"JFK does not allow vehicles such as hotel vans to circulate to all terminals directly - results in too much conjestion."

I'm not following that statement. In the morning we took the Courtyard shuttle as did several others. The driver asked which terminal we were going to and took each of us to the proper one. That was this past June. Has it changed since then?

Good point patrick. perhaps it is just the rental car shuttles they've done away with.

I'd thought hotel shuttles went to rental car center, but perhaps that's in addition to terminals, not instead of.

JFK is enormous - with 9 passenger terminals, as well as freight terminals and all sorts of other ancillary buildings.

There are NO hotels on the grounds. the closest are about 15 minutes by shuttle at best.
