Is the Whoa Nellie Deli open?
 
The culinary highlight of our trip down the eastern Sierras a couple of years ago was the gourmet cuisine at the Whoa Nellie Deli Mobil gas station just south of Lee Vining. Unbelieveable food. We are hoping to drive from LA to the Tahoe region and we would take the 395 if the deli is open with that fabulous menu. Anyone know if it is open yet this season, and as fabulous as in prior years?

The Tioga Pass opened early this year. Nonetheless it's usally open April to Nov.

Yes, it is open. I emailed that recommendation to friends who were passing through there in their RV last week. They said the food was wonderful and so was the view.
