Is Polynesian Concierge Worth $90 More at Disney World

I just made a reservation for November 14-18 at the Polynesian resort at Walt Disney World. They offered me the concierge level for just $90 more. To me, it sounded like just free food and a quicker check-in.

Am I missing something? Is it worth $90 for this level? I'm open to upgrading, but would like to hear people's comments.

Thanks!

I had concierge level at the Animal Kingdom. The breakfast was really good. There were a couple of newspapers for free in the mornings with your coffee. And there was a happy hour -- I think it came with wine.

Frankly, it was immemorable. I'd pass.

It depends on how many people are in your party. Think of how much you'd be spending for breakfast, water, snacks, etc. and see if it's worth the $90.A lot of time people don't even take advantage of the "happy hour" and evening snacks, because they're too busy in the parks. I've only done the concierge level at the Grand Floridian and to us it was worth it. The breakfast buffet was amazing with the best smoked salmon and many other "upscale" things. It was nice going just down the hall instead of waiting in the big breakfast lines in the main areas. Also the room was considerably larger and nicer than the standard ones.

Is it worth it? That's up to you. Penny for penny, probably you aren't getting that much stuff. If you feel it's worth it for a little more luxury and "pampering" then go for it.

We stayed at the polynesian a few years ago and thought the hotel was okay. The best part about it was the location of being on the monorail. It is a nice hotel, but was very pricey and the rooms were only so-so. Conceirge has it's benefits, but you really have to think is it worth the breakfast? We stayed at the Hilton in downtown disney. 5 minutes to the parks and had conceirge. The benefit was quick breakfast right at the hotel. We were never there for drinks. We were always in the parks. I doubt it is worth it. If you have young children, you can give them something like cheerios in the room. (get a mini fridge.) If you have teens that eat alot, you will need a big breakfast buffet. Find out if it is just cereal and muffins or the eggs and the works.
Enjoy.

I thought the concierge floor at the Animal Kingdom Lodge gave you a special "behind-the-scenes" early morning tour at the Animal Kingdom Park. We stayed at AKL last summer but didn't choose the concierge level as I thought the money could be better spent elsewhere.

That is a good question. To me it was worth it being able to stumble down in my PJ's and eat breakfast before showering. It was also great in the morning before leaving for the park to fill my pack packs with "free" water and sodas. It was also hot so we made frequent visits back to the hotel to recharge which meant we got to have cookies or whatever was at the concierge. The wine was great and wo were the night food and desserts.

I can not reply about the Polynesian, but we usually opt for Concierge level at most hotels because of the convenience. My husband is a breakfast eater and consumes many glasses of tea during the day so this is a cost saver. We chose this option at the HIlton Walt Disney Resort and we ended up with an executive room. Not sure if this is because of the concierge level or not but the room was huge. My friends opted out of concierge and their room was very small. Also you have access to a separate concierge and since you are not sharing this person with the whole hotel, the concierge is easier to get in touch with.
