IS IT POSSIBLE TO RENT OCEANFRONT CONDO IN FLORIDA IN JANUARY OR FEBRUARY?

We enjoy staying in a beachfront condo every spring in Myrtle Beach. We're looking for the same in Florida for a few weeks in January or February-- one for just 2 of us but we usually rent a 3 bedroom. We want to see and hear the ocean from our bed room and living room. Can anyone recommend a Company that specializes in this type of rental for a few weeks. Your replies would be appreciated.

You can find almost anything if you are willing to pay for it. But agree that for this winter things are probably picked over.

Hello, Harvey,

Over the years, we have stayed in many condos/apartments in Southeast Florida...Miami, Fort lauderdale, Palm Beach and places in between. All were Oceanfront but, except for one, you cannot actually "hear the ocean" from your bedroom & living room. The condo is too high or too far back from the ocean.

There is only one place where we could truly "hear" the ocean from our bedroom and our livingroom. It is the "Luxury Ocean Front" apartment in a little, relatively unknown place called Wright-by-the-Sea located on Delray Beach just north of Ft. Lauderdale. Now this is not a luxury property. They call this apartment "Luxury Oceanfront" but the property is very basic. It wld be about $400-$500 per night during your time frame. You can hear the ocean.

I do not know if they would have anything for your time frame. You could call.

Oh, & BTW, if you find another place, please let me know!

Ocean

harvey, you might try these condos on Crescent Beach, located on Anastasia Island just south of St. Augustine.

We lived there for 18 months 2008-10, and though we were only oceanview (not oceanfront) we could indeed hear the surf from LR and master BR. I did not check for availability, but a quick call would get your answer.

BTW, you did not mention if a desire for warmer weather prompts the switch from SC to FL, but if so, this area may not be a good fit for you. Good luck !
