I'm a 30 something guy and I love Hollywood. The new Diplomat Hotel is awesome and gets packed on the weekends with a South Beach type crowd. Downtown is booming. A new huge apartment building is opening soon. Lots of clubs and great restaurants. Fulvio's is one of the best Italian places in South Florida. And they just signd a long term deal to continue the trolley. It goes along the beach and up Hollywood Blvd to the circle. Of course the beach is great...lots of Canadians in the winter but thats OK. I go up to the state park anyway. Anywhere east of Dixie Hwy is hot property these days. Come on down!

To Bob: Wow...sounds really great. You know I will definately check out the area on my next trip down...The way you described it is just what I had heard and read about the area. Sounds like it is developing a nice nightlife of it's own and of course, Ft Lauderdale isn't far away at all...As I previously mentioned, I do kind of like hi-rise developments and I can see that Hollywood has quite a few of those...and some of them a pretty reasonable priced (monthly rent). The area sounds like a nice mix of old and new....
