Is Hawaii still a good vacation spot for non-couples?

I have always wanted to go to Hawaii, but I am single. Since it seems so couples-oriented, I was wondering if it would still be worth it to go, maybe with another single girlfriend? Will we be overwhelmed with mushy honeymooning couples??

Holly,
You'll have a great time. I went to Kauai(small and lush) alone and really enjoyed it. Honolulu, on Oahu, is a big city with something for everyone.
Enjoy!

I went w/ a girlfriend of mine last year & we had a blast. You might meet a local who'll show you around like we did. All the newlyweds are really nice anyway & you'll meet people from all over. GO!

I'd recommend Oahu for a single traveller. I've been there three times alone and another three times with friends. There's alot to see and do on Oahu, single or married, but I think honeymooners tend more to visit the other islands like Maui or Kauai.

Definitely go. There are as many single people as married. I've been to Maui twice and it is wonderful. Lots of fun and very relaxing. Snorkling is so much fun and you see such incredible things.
Try to go in Feb or Mar and you'll see the whales migrating. How great is that?
