math48teach: Sorry for not responding sooner, have been busy trying to be of assistance to displaced citizens, as well as my normal duties.

I live in the Southeast corner of AL. Rationing is now occuring...not sure on whose order...have not seen any official say so...but the stations won't allow you to purchase more than $40. Which is silly, because you just go to another station and finish off the tank. Starting the car twice instead of once, of course uses more fuel...go figure!

I hear varying reports of what the refineries in the area are resposible for...everything from 25% to 40% per various news reports and local leaders reports.

While traveling on rt 41 in Sarasota, FL yesterday I saw something I haven't seen since the 70's: several gas stations with "No Gas" signs covering the pumps.

My newly licensed teenage daughter is in a panic now!
