Is everyone getting the "Ski Alberta" pop-up?

It gets old and annoying REALLY fast...

LoveItaly Nov 9th, 2005 12:04 PM

No, but occassionally I still get the Marriot Hotel ad that actually covers the posts. Not good public relations is it?

Marilyn Nov 9th, 2005 12:05 PM

I think the ski pop up is the most obnoxious ad I've ever seen on this site. I hereby swear I will NEVER ski Alberta.

Heavens Nov 9th, 2005 12:08 PM

Just got it and I don't see a way to close it...Yes, annoying.

seetheworld Nov 9th, 2005 12:11 PM

It has happened to me twice - I was surprised since I usually do not get pop ups. There is a close X on the top right hand corner.

LoveItaly Nov 9th, 2005 12:11 PM

Hi Marilyn dear...do you ski? LOL.
I ask because I was grumbling to myself "that does it I will never stay at a Marriot Hotel" and than realized I don't stay at the Marriot lodgins anway as I have never like them.

Jean_Valjean Nov 9th, 2005 12:11 PM

I finally found where to close it... upper right hand corner... Apparently, once you close it, it doesn't show up again... :$

Marilyn Nov 9th, 2005 12:12 PM

LI, you are SO on to me! No, I don't ski, which makes it an easy vow to take LOL.

LoveItaly Nov 9th, 2005 12:18 PM

LOL Marilyn, that is what I thought! ;;) Wonder if that stupid Marriott (gads I still am not sure if there is one T or two) has a way to close it that I am missing.
