Is Ellis Island closed to visitors?
 
I will be in New York this week and someone told me that the Ellis Island immigration museum was closed. Is this true?

Last I heard Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Ellis Island closed. Article in Sunday 10/14 New York Times.

The Empire State Building observation deck as well as the entire building is open to the public. Check their website at esbny.com.

you take the same ferry to get to the SOL and Ellis Island, so if the ferry isn't going to SOL, it isn't going to Ellis Island. Too bad. Ellis Island is really interesting.
