Is Duboce Triangle area in SF a good place to stay?

Found a nice looking rental for a week in SF in the Duboce Triangle neighborhood. Is this a good area to use as a base for a week in SF? Thanks!

Yes, if it really is the Duboce Triangle and not the lower Haight. What is the address?

It's a good location - but definitely confirm what SAB suggested - be sure it is where you think it is -

If you could post the link we could be of more assistance. Duboce Triangle could be great--or not so great.

Great location. My sister used to live on 15th and Noe a block away. fyi- Terrible area for parking in case you're planning on bringing a car.

That's a very nice area with lots of places to eat and easy public transportation. Leely is right though - you don't want to have to park a car!

Yes, that is a good location and it truly is in the Duboce Triangle. BTW there is a relatively new french bistro L'Ardoise one block away at Noe and Henry that you should try.

That section of Noe is wonderful - lots of big leafy trees. Very pretty area.

Henry and Noe is a really good spot within the Duboce Park area. You have good transporation options within blocks of your door, local shopping in easy walking distance, and just generally nice ambiance.

L'Ardoise, as SAB mentions, is a new French place that has been getting terrific reviews. It was opened by an alumni of Fringale, one of my favorite French resto's in S.F.

Stu -

Every time I walk down this section of Noe, with its pretty trees and mellow vibe, I'm reminded of the Jordaan neighborhood in Amsterdam (minus the canals, of course). Am I the only one?

We spent a day in the Jordaan neighborhood last year - you're right.

luvtravl,

See if this site:

www.mapjack.com

works for you. Type in "Noe Street & Henry Street" It should take you to a photo of that corner, with the ability to take a little virtual "tour" at will.

I like the area of Henry and Noe. We've been there quite a bit recently. (Used to live just up the hill).
