Is Biloxi worth a visit for a blackjack player?

I'm trying to decide where to go for Easter or maybe Memorial Day. We LOVE Las Vegas and I realize nothing is like Vegas, but how is Biloxi? I've never been to Atlantic City either and I hear it is suppose to be the next best to Vegas (although AC gets terrible reviews.) If we go to Biloxi we will probably spend a day or two in New Orleans also, so it won't just be Biloxi. Thanks!

I'm a video poker player myself (amateur), but I have friends who play blackjack here in Gulfport and Biloxi and they seem to think it's a good venue. I've been to Vegas and Atlantic City and, quite frankly, as far as blackjack tables go once you get into the casinos, it's all pretty much the same. If you do come down to the Mississippi Coast let me recommend the Beau Rivage and either the Grand Casino Biloxi or the Grand Casino Gulfport. There are several other casinos here besides these, but these three are the best IMO.

My husband plays blackjack and he's perfectly happy in Biloxi. Of course we also love Las Vegas, but here's still another idea. There are 9 casinos in Tunica, Mississippi and it's just 30 minutes away from Memphis, so you can have the best of both possible worlds!

I recommend the Biloxi and Gulfport area also. My husband enjoys blackjack there. We also like the Grand and Beau Rivage. The shows at Biloxi are very good also. Have seen a number of musical and shows patterned after the cirque shows. I did not care for Tunia, but I am not a gambler and I enjoy the gulf coast area better than Tunia. We both love Vegas, but it has become very crowded and more expensive. My husband says the dealers and staff are friendly and helpful at Biloxi.

I have played in Biloxi, Vegas, Tunica and New Orleans.

Biloxi is very nice. I found them to be very generous with comps for BJ players, even at the 5-10 level. The one casino in NO is fine for a diversion but not a destination place.

Tunica is far down on my list. You would only go there to gamble or perhaps a business meeting. there are clusters of 3 casinos plopped in the middle of no place.

I bet you would like the MS gulf coast. If you are golfers, many casino's offer golf included packages. We stayed at the Isle of Capri which was a friendly place but a small casino. We hopped around when it came to gambling, tried most of em.

Atlantic City gets terrible reviews when people go there expecting it to be Las Vegas. I like both places, but comparing them is difficult.
The actual balckjack game is probably best in Las Vegas, then Atlantic City, then the Southern casinos. The rules vary from place to place. All blackjack games are not the same (even in the same casino).
As for other diversions, you can check out Philadelphia (quite a site if you go for Memorial Day), or visit locations on the Jersey Shore.

If the number one deciding factor is the blackjack game, go to Atlantic City.
