Have you tried Delta? I saw roundtrip from Columubs to Phoenix for $168 on Delta via Cincinnati.

If the times and dates are what you need the price is good. Easter in Phoenix is very high in demand and the weather is soooo nice.
296.00 is a very nice price from east to west.

We did Buffalo to Phoenix on Southwest when they had a one-way ticket sale and were amazed at the low prices. Can't remember what other NY cities it flew out of tho.

I am looking for flights to Albany in late Feb. so far American is the best with $307 round trip. My travel agent, a friend, has always encouraged to book early. Since you are traveling around spring break times in the Albany area so availability and rates are very subject to change. Check daily for rates online and grab the first one you like, if you wait too long you will probably pay more. Also try Ebay.
