Iowa to Wisconsin along the Mississippi River
 

We are planning a trip through Iowa to the La Crosse area. We will be spending the night in Cedar Rapids. Two routes are being looked at. One is from Cedar Rapids over to Clinton, Iowa, on US 30, then north on US 67 and US 52 to Dubuque. The second route is from Cedar Rapids on US 151 to Dubuque. From Dubuque, we will take the Great River Road to Marquette, Iowa, and cross the river to Prairie du Chen, then up Wisconsin 35 to Stoddard, Wisconsin.

My question is it worth the extra hour and a half to go through Clinton?
