Intrepid Sea Air Space Museum --- okay in the rain?
If recent trends continue, I'm counting on some rain during our trip to New York City in late June! My teen son is interested in all things military so we hope to spend several hours at the Intrepid. How much does rain interfere with the enjoyment of this site?

I agree...don't let the rain stop your trip to the Intrepid. Also, if you have time, a trip upstate to the Rhinebeck Aerodrome is fantastic if he is into old WWI aircraft...this WOULD be affected by the rain. Have fun.

I wouldn't worry about the rain unless it is one of those torrential downpours. Get a good umbrella and rain coat and go about your scheduled itinerary. The only things that the rain would put a damper on would be the Empire State Building (no view) and Central Park.
If it is really bad, hit the museums.
