Internet-West Yellowstone
The reservation has informed us that there IS internet access on the West side. Can anyone tell me where and how. IOW, which hotel or internet cafe. Or do I need to bring my laptop as they offer WiFi?
Thank. |
Don't know about that myself, but I bet it will be so slow it won't matter. We have friends who said they had terrible time with their laptop in every area they used it while in yellowstone. You might wait longer for it than you do a geyser eruption.

The Holiday Inn in West Yellowstone has internet access. We used our laptop in our room, and it worked just fine.
Seems to me I recall seeing an internet corner also in the lobby with a hotel-supplied computer. |
For those who may look up this thread in the future, I want to answer my own question. There is an internet cafe when you first cross over to Montana at West Yellowstone.
Also, my ATT cell worked at the Old Faithful Inn however no where else. |
bridgetS,
Thanks for reporting back. We had cell phone service at Mammoth Hot springs area and at Old Faithful with Verizon three years ago. We're going again in Septmeber. I'll report back if my air card works in those locations too. Utahtea |
So how was that Verizon service last September in Yellowstone?
We'll be at Tower Junction (Roosevelt cabins) and at Old Faithful (Snow Lodge) and in GTNP at Signal Mtn. |
Hi suz24,
I could get internet using my Verizon aircard at Mammoth Hot Springs campground and at Old Faithful parking lot so you should be able to get it at the Old Faithful Snow Lodge. I had cell service at Canyon but didn't try the internet there. Verizon Aircard did not work at Fishing Bridge or Madison Campgrounds. We didn't spend any time at the Grand Tetons this year so don't know about Signal Mtn. Utahtea |
