INTERISLAND FLIGHTS

I've been checking the cost of interisland flights and they are quire high compared to what we paid last yr. We've been thinking that both flights we were on last yr. in March were less than 1/2 full. Is it just as cheap or cheaper to just book the flights when you're there, even just a couple of days in advance?

I don't think they're still doing flights between Put-in-Bay and Kelley's Island. Are those the interisland ones you mean?

I'm sorry - I thought I posted this in 'Hawaii'. INTERISLAND FLIGHTS IN HAWAII ANYONE?????

How much are you seeing? We were there last month and for one of our inter-island flights, paid only $36.00.

You have asked about this before and here are some recommendations:

I know I've asked before Melissa but I am only getting prices around $72 with any of the airlines at this time. I know we only paid $38pp last year.
Thanks once again

Sorry, jumpy. All posts show up in the general US board. Not being a Hawaii fan myself, I never click on Hawaii, and it really didn't occur to me that's what you meant. I think the Lake Erie airline used to even be called "Interisland Airlines" or something like that, so that's what I thought.

did you sign up for the email fare alerts?

There are still $39 (plus tax & fees) flights. You may have to fly the first flight or last flight to get this fare.

Sometimes they are less than that.

Usually someone starts a new thread whenever there is a low fare.

Right now the low fares are through the end of the year.

flew from hilo to maui last weekend for $136 roundtrip on Island Air. Going to Oahu Wed. for $89 round trip on Aloha. Check the websites and you might find some cheap seats, but no real sales going on this month. I think Hawaiian is the only one who ups the price closer to the date of flying. Could be wrong, but whenever I'm going interisland, they seem to be the highest on short notice.

We saw fares change by day of the week midweek it seemed more likely to be able to find the lower fares.

We returned from Hawaii earlier this week. All of the interisland flights we took were packed, so I would be cautious about waiting until the last minute.
