Interesting lodging in Memphis/ Beale St on Sunday?

Are there any interesting lodging options in Memphis? Something other than a cookie cutter hotel room? If not, what is the best mid priced hotel? I will be visiting Graceland and the Civil Rights Museum. Not sure if we will be visiting Beale St. We will be there on a Sunday evening in February. Will anything be happening on Beale at that time? Thanks!

First place that comes to mind is the Peabody. We got a good deal on Travelzoo a few years back. It's a beautiful classic hotel, plus it has the famous Peabody ducks! It's just a couple of blocks from Beale Street and probably 4 blocks or so from the Civil Rights Museum.

We loved the Talbot Heirs Guest House, across the street from the Peabody--a lovely apartment for the price of a hotel room, great owners.

I have to completely agree with Talbot heirs Guest house. Our room was awesome and the owners and manager are fantastic!

It really is a walk across the street to the Peabody - we had afternoon cocktails there every evening.

Peabody with Ducks going up the elevator. That isn't exactly cookie cutter. The Heartbreak Hotel at Graceland might fit the ticket(I haven't stayed there)

We like to eat at
Blues City Cafe-everything is good
Gus Fried Chicken-spicy fried chicken & fried green tomatoes)
Rendevouz-rib
Peabody for Brunch(pricey)

Another vote for the Peabody. Easy walk to Beale Street, and there's likely something to see on Sunday night. Make sure you leave enough time for the Civil Rights Museum. It's very well done and a powerful presentation.
