Interesting Article on Restaurants in DC-WPost
Good article in the Washington Post on eating in the DC area

I read his article in the Atlantic, An Economist Gets Lunch: New Rules for Everyday Foodies, which is another pimp for his book. (not that there is anything wrong with promoting a book)
(http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/...ning-out/8929/ I was "ish" about both of the articles, agree with some of it but not hook, line and sinker. Some of the Post article was straight up wrong or contradictory. For a frugal economist it makes sense that cheap + good > pricey and/or trendy + good. |
I agree with u, obx. Thought it was an unusual way to think about it. Of course restaurants try harder when new, but a good chef is a good chef. I'll have to read the atlantic article.

I have a hard time taking anyone seriously who believes The Palm and the Prime Rib offer some of the best food in D.C.

Can't say I agreed with the article, but I thought the premise was an unusual take? although Raskia West, Mintwood and Little Serow r all very good.
