As I read this I just think what a human's world was 70 years ago or 170 years ago or 1700 years ago. Egads. If you are going to worry about germs and bugs imagine a day in the life then...or worse, a day traveling then!

Biologically, I think we can handle a lot more than the advertisers have brainwashed us to believe we can. I agree with the comments that the antibacterial soaps, attempt to create a sterile, germ free environment is not necessarily the way to live a life.

Just take the comforter off the bed. If you see signs that the room isn't clean, check out and ask for a refund. I stay in Hampton Inns most of the time for business travel and I think their 100% guarantee help set a company policy of keeping the customer happy.

Starrsville, I think the Hampton Inns and the Holiday Inn Express chain are the very cleanest of the hotels at that price-level. Talking about the germs and what they might do to you, I don't quake with fear about "catching something" (although, of course, I'd rather not! ;;) )......... it annoys the H*** out of me to spend what I do on a hotel, and then it be NASTY!!! Yes, it's a fact of life sometimes and I have to put up with it sometimes, when it's the only one that will let me bring a pet and I can't walk out and find a different place to sleep, but that doesn't mean I'll learn to like it and stop complaining about it!
