Inter-Island Travel

I am going to Oahu for 10 days in March. I wish to travel to Maui for a day. What is the best way to get there and then see the island?

The only way; and that is to fly. You can take an early morning flight, rent a car and return in the evening. You may want to consider staying for a night. A day is not a very long time to see the island.

As stated, you can only travel between O`ahu and Maui by air...either by booking Hawaiian Air or Aloha Air, or by booking with one of the many tour companies.

Roberts Hawai`i is the oldest in the islands, with a very good reputation. Pleasant Hawaiian also has a good reputation. Each will let you choose to either take their guided tour, or they will offer fly/drive or fly/drive/hotel packages.
