inter island flights/ hawaii
 

Is it possible to find reasonable airfare between islands?
We will be flying in late June/early July from Oahu to the Big Island and then to Maui and back to Oahu.
So far - I we' ve gotten fare prices close to $300.00. We do prefer jet service over a prop plane.

Have you tried Hawaiian Airlines web-site? Should be able to do these flights (by jet) for closer to $200.

This airline uses Dash-8 aircraft -- smaller than the others, but not prop:

I got my flight from Honolulu to Kauai for 74 dollars on Travelocity (Aloha Airlines). That's one way though. Also got a ticket from Kona to honolulu (one-way Aloha) for 74 dollars on travelocity. This was 3 weeks ago (for mid-June timeframe). Is that 300.00 for two people round-trip? I guess thats about the going rate. I wonder how much it would cost if you do it the day before/day of departure direct with Aloha?

Does anyone know if any of the inter-island services fly direct between Maui and Kauai?

I am flying on Aloha Airlines from Kauai to Maui in July.

If you go online and join the Aloha Airlines "club," (Forgot what it's called), then you can get cheaper rates. We flying roundtrip Honolulu to Kauai for $138 per person (including taxes) in June '05.
