Inter-island flight prices

Hi,
I just priced out a flight for 3 of us leaving Maui in the am to the BI and returning that evening. A day trip so to speak. Thought it would be neat just to go, rent a jeep and drive around. I'm not usually into exploring, but the folks around this board have inspired me<g>.
Anyway. $ 666 for the 3 of us total!! Can this be, or did I do something wrong??
Frank

Yikes, that sounds really high. 3 years ago, we got airfare AND a minivan for a one-day outing from Oahu to the BI for 6 people for $600.

I purchased tickets from Aloha Airlines at $60.50 per flight (so that would be $121 if you were going roundtrip) per person, directly from their toll free number.

Might be cheaper if you do this on a Saturday and stay overnight....this is how you normally get the best prices.

The $121.00 per person is the same price I have gotten for mine thru Aloha airlines. Is the Jeep rental expensive for just one day?
We were thinking of doing the same. Thanks.

Sam,
>>Is the Jeep rental expensive for just one day<<

After I saw the $ 666, I figured we'd just stay on Maui and explore there<G>.I didn't even price out the jeep.
Frank

Try Travel-Hawaii.com for interisland discounted coupons. I used them a year ago and got a good deal on price. I had them mailed to me, no problems. You can order on their website. At least check out their prices.

Coupons from Aloha Airlines or Hawaiian Airlines are currently about $63 one-way between any of the islands. Most travel agents in Hawaii sell them. For air/car deals try Roberts Overnighters (808-523-9323, www.RobertsHawaii.com, [email protected])

Sounds like you made a mistake!!! Contact Aloha airlines and Hawaiian directly (not Cont. Northwest, etc). They have coupons that can be purchased for around $50. to $60. dollars each way. In addition to calling you can check the web sites. They had "Z" fares with Hawaiian airlines for $50.00 you just have to be flexible with the flight times.

How about a ferry ride to Lanai'i?? I think the round trip ticket was around $35- and fun to see another island!?!
