Insight on Bend Oregon-Never have been there
 

We have close friends who have moved from Sun River Oregon to Bend Oregon. We realiaze that it is a different city, however can anyone tell us more about Bend and what there the big attaction is there. Where are the good resturants and the MUST see's. Thank you in advance<BR>

Sunriver is a huge subdivision type development outside of Bend. Most of the houses/condos there rent by the week. As it's not far from Bend I wouldn't say your friends had moved far at all. The big draw to Bend is the nearness to Mt Bachelor for the skiers.<BR>I myself have never seen the draw to Bend. It's difficult to get to stuck in the middle of the state with no freeways and gets as hot as h**l in the summer.

There's a really cool drive-in in Bend with carhops on skates. Drink your shake quick before it turns into hot chocolate.
