Inns in New England - What do you think of these choices?

I am currently planning a trip this fall to New England. These are the inns/ B&B's I am considering. Any comments?

The Reluctant Panther - Manchester Village, VT
Sugar Hill Inn - Franconia, NH (White Mountain Region)
Red Hill Inn - Centre Harbor, NH (Lakes Region)
The Chambury Inn - Lee, MA
Newbury Guest House - Boston

Would be interested in what you might know about these.

All are very nice and you'll enjoy them. Note that the furnishings in the Red Hill Inn (antiques?), even in the public rooms, are a bit on the "worn" side. But, it's a terrific place to stay all the same. Especially for the reasonable rates.

Newbury Guesthouse is excellently located - I don't know about the quality.

Reluctant Panther is nice, but not spectacular. What makes it wonderful is the included dinner, which is generally excellent. Make sure your room includes dinner (genrally a significant savings). Otherwise I would recommend the 1812 (I think) inn across the street.

Chambury Inn...don't know it, but do know Lee, grew up just outside it and it hasn't changed much from those days. It's neither lovely nor scenic. If I were you, I'd head to nearby Stockbridge or Lenox, both of which are much nicer villages.

I would agree with the above comments regarding Lee, as compared to Lenox or Stockbridge. But since the tariffs are much higher in the latter two, you're smart to stay in Lee and visit the others.

We have stayed at the Newbury Guest House and like it very much; the location is perfect, the staff very friendly and helpful, great breakfast, very accomodating cat sleeping in the lobby/reception area.

The Newbury Street Guest house has an excellent reputation. Great location.

I have never stayed at the Sugar Hill Inn but have eaten at the wonderful restaurant! Beautiful setting!
