Inner Harbor,Baltimore
I am looking for a hotel in the inner harbor for a weekend visit with my 11 year old daughter and her friends.
thanks |
We've stayed at the Sheraton and liked it.

is it walking distance to most attractions?

I am not devoted to Priceline - generally want to pick specific hotel and so I do not use it. However, we used it for Baltimore trip last summer since you can very specifically pick Inner Harbor. We stayed at Wyndham Hotel - got 2 rooms for very inexpensive. Be aware that, on Priceline or just on your own, some hotels call themselves Inner Harbor and are 2-3 blocks from Inner Harbor. This was the case with Wyndham and it was really not a problem - a rather short walk - but if you want Harbor view and to be across the street from Harbor, then this option will not work for you.
Wyndham was very nice - a huge hotel and we got 2 adjoining rooms with very large corner windows. Have a good trip - our 12 year old (at the time) dtr loved Baltimore. Take a Duck Tour and ride a water taxi. |
Marriott Inner Harbor East has an indoor pool which is always good when with kids. This Marriott is in between the Harbor and Little Italy, is very close to the Aquarium and is new and much nicer than the other Marriott in downtown. There is a Courtyard across the street which is less $$. The Renaissance, Harbor Court and Hyatt are also right on the Harbor. Sheraton is 1 long block away, Wyndham is 2 long blocks away.

try hotels.com , usually get good fares on some top notch hotels. Hyatt is in a good location, i use parking garage alot but never been in hotel

Because the convention center is right next to the Inner Harbor, within about 2-3 blocks of the Inner Harbor is virtually every big chain hotel you can think of. I've stayed at several and they've all been very nice...unless not walking an extra block or two is really important to you, I'd check them all out and go by price. A lot of these convention-oriented hotels run good weekend deals, since most of their business is from weekday business travel.
